This session will go over:
- how to change your name
- binding and tucking information
- How to privately access Hormone Replacement Therapy
- How to get a Gender Recognition Certificate
- How to transmasculine top surgery privately in the UK
- Effects of Testosterone and Oestrogen
We will also have free KT Tape for people to take some, as well as materials to create DIY tucking gaffs for transfeminine people.
This session aims to share supportive information, break down the complexity of private healthcare, and empower students.

Trans Awareness Week is an annual campaign held 13 -19 November dedicated to centring the experiences and voices of the transgender community and educating the public about the challenges trans and gender nonconforming people face. This November, RHSU’s Trans Awareness Week will be led by LGBT+ Students Community Officer, Jakob Bird, with support from RHSU LGBT+ Society and SU staff.
