If you’re looking to develop a new skill, flex your creative muscles, or simply unwind after a day of lectures, you’ll find something in our calendar of Give It A Go events.

These are smaller-scale events that are predominantly alcohol-free and focused on you meeting new people in a fun, relaxed and welcoming environment. Some highlights from Freshers' Festival include our Board Games Night, Laser Quest, a Trip to the Theatre and loads more!

So whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, culture vulture or just love a bit of art and craft, we'll have something for you.

Decorate a Plant Pot: 22nd May; SU Venue; Get some greenery growing in your room with a miniature garden! Decorate a pot and then pick some seeds to plant!

Give Table Tennis a Go: 23rd May; SU Venue; A game of quick reflexes, precision, and plenty of excitement. Grab a paddle and come along – it’s a great way to stay active, challenge yourself, and enjoy some friendly competition!

Give Footgolf a Go: 26th May; 3G Pitch; A unique combination of football and golf where you kick a soccer ball into large golf holes with as few kicks as possible. Get outdoors, stay active, and have a blast – join us for a game of foot golf and see what it’s all about!

Stressbusters: Self-Care Session: 27th May; Medicine; Whether you're looking to chill out after a long study session, reward yourself after completing your exams or simply need some time to de-stress, this event is the perfect way to recharge your batteries.
