20 days annual leave rising by 1 day per calendar year (maximum of 5 additional), as well as 9 discretionary days over Christmas and Easter

 

Students’ Union Royal Holloway, University of London is the representative body for students of Royal Holloway, University of London and provides wide-ranging services for its members based at the Egham campus. The Union is a charity with annual revenues of £2.3million, career staff of 35, approximately 200 student staff and 500+ active volunteers. Our services range from a welfare advice centre to 100 sports clubs and societies, a night club and an accommodation letting service.

 

SURHUL has an exciting opportunity for a Technical (Events & Media) Manager to join our team to provide hands on technical support to Students’ Union events and our brand new media suite (consisting of radio, television and magazine) provisions.  The position will be responsible for maintaining and developing our event and media technical provisions in line with organisational budget and policy, industry best practise and legislative requirements.

 

The Technical (Events & Media) Manager will have overall responsibility for maintaining and providing event and media technical equipment, to line manage and continually develop student technical staff and to provide technical advice and support to student media, production groups and all events and hire of SURHUL venues. The post holder will be required to act as Duty Manager (licensee) for productions, meetings and similar events and lead on technical planning for our annual Summer Ball.
