We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our Student Activities team, working to provide development and support to student groups. Our Student Activities provision has undergone recent growth, we now offer over 80 societies, 38 sports clubs, three media outlets and a charity fundraising arm. Last year we enjoyed great success, with our highest ever engagement figures, our highest ever position in the BUCS rankings and many of our societies featuring on national and international stages. We have the keen ambition to continue this growth and success.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation in a position which will work closely with the University Careers Service with the purpose of enhancing the efficiency and offering of student groups and ensuring that we achieve our organisational strategic aim to improve graduate employability and career options for Royal Holloway University students.
The post-holder will be expected to assist the growth of student involvement within Student Activities through the co-ordination and administration of student groups and the delivery of student focused events. The post holder will also be required to promote employability throughout the Students’ Union through: the creation and delivery of training and skills development programmes for students involved in Student Activities; establishment of sustainable links with our student groups and external organisations; and oversight of the Students’ Union’s activity in the College based employability award scheme.
For this reason the successful candidate will show a keen interest in employability, with experience in developing and maintaining relationships, as well as having a strong aptitude for training and development of individuals and groups. With a collaborative style and an ability to work with a range of stakeholders, communication will be key.
