If you are a student aged 23 or over, and you have held a valid driving licence for a year or more, then great news – you qualify for the Hertz Student Discount which will give you the discount when you rent any one of the two cars and three vans available to students in the UK.
If you’re thinking that this offer should have come sooner, you wouldn’t be alone. Every student needs the use of a car at some point during their time at university, whether you want to move in or out of student halls, or you and some mates fancy a day out, a quick road trip is always the right choice.

Well, you will need to pay a Young Driver Surcharge if you are 23 years of age when you come to pick up the vehicle.

Cars available
Cars are available across Europe, so if you are a student in the United Kingdom and want to go on holiday to France or Germany the same 15 and 20 per cent discounts apply. In fact, they are available in Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Norway and Slovakia, although vans aren’t included in the deal in Norway, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Rates and charges differ from country to country, but the cost of renting a car in the UK is £25 per day, with a maximum rental charge of £250.
The cars available in the UK, include a Ford Focus and a Ford Fiesta, whereas the vans available include a Vauxhall Astra van, and two types of Ford Transit – the Connect and 280 models.
