A Newsround special programme, Caught in the Web, has been nominated for a Childrens BAFTA in the Factual category.
The film was partially shot in the Students Union and was directed by Royal Holloway alumna, Richard Turley. Richard was also the Students' Union Insanity Station Manager in 2001-02. Caught in the Web is a dramatised documentary on internet safety featuring case studies from real children and is narrated by David Tennant.
You can view the film here (and you can find the footage shot within the Students Union at 11 minutes in). This is a really worthwhile production which helps children and young people navigate safely around the web and the Students Union sends it’s very best wishes to Richard in relation to this prestigious awards ceremony in December.
