What's Give It A Go All About Then?

Give It A Go is a programme designed for everyone. A chance to try something new, learn a skill, meet more people, or simply have a whole lot of fun! With a year-round programme of activities, Give It A Go is your best bet for new experiences.

We caught up with our new VP Sport, Dom Brown, who knows all about our Give It A Go programme from his time as a Film, Television & Digital Production student. Unfortunately for Dom, he’s now going to have to enjoy the fun from afar, but he’s keen to let you know why you should make checking out the events page a priority.

“University is all about enjoying new experiences and making sure you enjoy your time away from your studies. The Give It A Go programme is packed full of awesome events that you won’t want to miss out on. Loads of them are free as well, so if money is tight you’ll still be able to get involved.”

Sounds Great, How Do I Get Involved?

Head on over to our events page, where you can check out the full list of events for term one which includes a number of things taking place during Freshers’ Festival. We'll leave it to Dom to have the final say:

“If you want a taster of what’s in store, the Give It A Go Festival [ft. Petting Zoo] will be taking place on Thursday 27 September from 10:00-16:00 on Founder’s Field. This is a chance for you to find out more about the programme, take part in loads of activities and get to know some of our great societies. You won’t regret it!”
