Dearest reader,

Welcome to my second blog update on my Priority 8 Progress.

Making Food on Campus More Affordable & Accessible

  • Loyalty Cards in More Outlets – Kicked off the mission to get multiple teams working together on expanding our loyalty program. The buzz is finally spreading - people are getting on board, ideas are flying, and those long-promised conversations have actually begun.

  • Halal Meat - We are actively exploring and assessing a range of potential vendors to find the right partners who align with our operational needs and long-term goals.

  • TooGoodToGo Bags - Work is in progress to introduce these at the Students’ Union shop. They’re already up and running at the Tikka Nation outlet, serving as a great example of what’s to come.

Improving Local Transport

  • Better RHU Bus Timings - Actively engaging with relevant stakeholders to review current schedules and identify opportunities for improvement. Meetings and discussions are underway to collect insights that will help shape a more convenient and reliable timetable. I am currently in the gathering relevant information stage.

  • Bus Loyalty & Discounted Fares - Just to reiterate, the RHU bus continues to be the best value for money when compared with the 441 and 8 routes. It offers the lowest fare - making it a great choice for anyone traveling regularly to and from campus to the Egham train station.
