>> About the project

In Term Two, we launched the Marketing Review Survey to get your feedback on how well the Students’ Union communicates with Students on social media, our website and newsletters. The survey covered topics like what style of communication students find easy to understand and which content they enjoy engaging with. This helps us communicate transparently and effectively with students during their time at Royal Holloway.

The Students’ Union sought to understand how well students felt our Marketing helped them understand what we are doing, how we make decisions and how we implement the change you want. We really appreciate the time you took to share your feedback and help us understand your individual student experience at Royal Holloway!

These results helped identify key strengths and areas for improvement in our current strategy, ‘Building Community, Leading Change’. They will also help inform how a new marketing and communications strategy can best serve students, improve their university experience, and increase participation and engagement with our events, activities, and services. We have shared the results in the infographics below!

>>THE RESULTS

We are excited to share that 404 students across various years, demographics and both campuses took part!

Students told us how well informed they felt about what the Students’ Union does, how we work, and how we make decisions. These are key performance indicators for our current strategy. You can compare these results with our 2027 target here.

We wanted to know how clearly students understood the difference between the Students’ Union and the University, and which emails they prioritised. We asked students if they trusted our communication platforms and felt positively about the Students’ Union.
