To vote in the local elections wherever you live during term time, students MUST BE REGISTERED to vote by Tuesday 17 April 2018.

This February saw a record turnout of 28% of Royal Holloway students voting in our Union elections – now you’ve chosen who will lead the student voice on campus, make sure your views are represented in the local community as well by registering before 17 April to vote in local elections on 3 May.

If you live in Egham or Englefield Green, you’ll be voting to elect councillors to Runnymede Borough Council, who make decisions on important issues like council tax, accreditation schemes for landlords, and street lighting. These issues affect students’ lives in so many ways, from making sure you can afford to live in good conditions, to making sure you can get home from campus safely. So make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to exercise your democratic right – register to vote by Tuesday 17 April by clicking here.
