Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) is a striking and clinching based martial art which was developed over centuries in Thailand. To this day it remains to be the national sport of Thailand. It is known by many as ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’. Thus is because the use of fists, elbows, shins and knees are a prominent part of the sport. For all that Thai Boxing does not involve the groundwork that other Martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offer, it is out of all the stood up striking arts one of the most applicable to real life situations.

Members of the RHUL Thai Boxing club have the option to compete but are under no obligation to do so. Members have a variety of incentives for joining the club whether it be interest in competition, fitness weight loss or many other possible reasons they may have. We are a warm and welcoming club with plenty of opportunity to Socialise and to meet some brilliant people.

We look forward to having you with us.
