East African

 Who we are: 

  • The East African Society is a student-run organization that aspires to unite all East African RHUL students and anyone else fascinated by the culture. We provide a space in which students can meet, socialise, and build connections. 

We aim to:

  • We aim to create a space of familiarity for East Africans and expose Non-East Africans to East African particularities like food, music and lifestyle, creating a home away from home. 

Some of the events will consist of the following:

  • Social Events

  • Movie nights

  • Debates and Talks

Community Elections 2026

This election will elect all student leaders within our student communities. These communities include Societies, Sports Clubs, Media Outlets, Faculty & Department Reps, Postgraduate Communities & Inclusion Communities. For Student Groups, you must be a current Royal Holloway student and a fully paid, standard member of the group to vote. To vote for a Community Officer, students must self-identify with the relevant inclusion community on the RHSU website (in settings). In order to vote for a Rep, you must belong to the relevant Faculty or Department. Please ensure you are logged in to your SU account to cast your votes.
