Lifting Club

Lifting Club is an inclusive club that welcomes students of any ability that have an interest or passion for lifting in any form. Our goals as a new club are to help make the gym more approachable, to create a social aspect that exists beyond training at the gym and to provide a channel of communication with the gym to help improve facilities.

Lifting sessions will be held every week in the gym with qualified Level 3 committee members on hand to help with any aspects of training. Whether you’re training for weightlifting, powerlifting, or bodybuilding, we are here to support your training.

By being part of Lifting club, you will have access to the club’s socials, professional talks, an opportunity to compete against Surrey weightlifting at Varsity, group trips and weekly training sessions.

*Social members can also take part in full memberships activities for an extra cost. (This might be subject to change according to event and capacity)

 Please note that due to the memberships only being available at the end of term 1, the price of membership is only for term 2 and 3.

Community Elections 2026

This election will elect all student leaders within our student communities. These communities include Societies, Sports Clubs, Media Outlets, Faculty & Department Reps, Postgraduate Communities & Inclusion Communities. For Student Groups, you must be a current Royal Holloway student and a fully paid, standard member of the group to vote. To vote for a Community Officer, students must self-identify with the relevant inclusion community on the RHSU website (in settings). In order to vote for a Rep, you must belong to the relevant Faculty or Department. Please ensure you are logged in to your SU account to cast your votes.
