About Me

Thanks for taking the time to get introduced, I am Helen and I am a leader of People and Talent teams. My experience spans the largest of global organisations to the smallest of start ups. A sometime sales assistant, balloon artist, receptionist and waitress, I found my way to a cross sector international career in People leadership within some of the largest organisations in the world. I have also operated as a business owner and continue to advise entrepreneurs and Boards in the people strategies within fast-growing start ups and scale ups.

I am a first generation University student, and began my Council supported journey at Royal Holloway having experienced life on campus as an early teen through the eyes of my big sister, who ran the campus bookstore.

I am passionate about self-fulfilment at work. I have a long track record in the creation of progressive, remarkable workplaces and business cultures that unleash human potential in ways that transform business performance - and quite simply make for a more tolerant, empathetic and kinder society. I am an active researcher, speaker and writer on this topic.

My experience

I currently serve as Chief People Officer of Newton Consulting, as an Independent Member for Which? and The Consumers Association, as an Ambassador for Workstyle, and as an Advisor to The Good Graduate Guide.

I am fluent in French and have a dual nationality French/English family with 3 young children and 2 cats. Reflective of my squiggly career I hold a National Vocational Qualification in floristry, and am an alumna of London Business School.
