Media Suite Fire Doors

The Media Suite is the home of many media outlets on campus. However, out of office hours, Union staff lock the building, including one of the escape routes. This leaves only one fire exit, as the shutter separating the Union from the offices is locked from one side. However, the fire exit door is not safe. The door has been broken for months (impossible to open from the inside when locked, and the thumbscrew is very hard to turn). However, this does not seem a high priority for the Union to fix. Therefore, I would like to see this door fixed and/or some kind of emergency escape on the shutter side. I am pretty certain this is otherwise a fire risk for media members.
