There are many health and cultural benefits for installing a Finnish sauna into the sports centre or near it. A sauna is a wooden wall and ceiling covered room with a stove filled with rocks in the middle. going to sauna 3-4 times a week after your workout or just can provide great health benefits such as reducing the rate of respiratory infections, improving cardiovascular circulation and therefore reducing heart problems by lowering blood pressure. 20-30 minutes in the sauna at 75-85C increase heart rate to the same level as doing moderate exercise. Research done in Finnish men has also shown that it reduces the rate of developing Alzheimer´s and Dementia. On top of all of these health benefits it helps remind many Scandinavian students of home. The links below show scientific research done on the benefits of going to sauna regularly. https://www.uef.fi/en/-/syyt-saunan-terveyshyotyihin-alkavat-selvita http://n.neurology.org/content/early/2018/05/02/WNL.0000000000005606
