    An Overnight Crisis Support Team

    Locked
RSA's are left to deal with the multiple mental health crises that happen overnight in a halls of residence, more often than not they don't have the correct training to fulfill the needs of a complex mental health emergency, training which takes years to complete. After speaking to security after multiple events happening in my flat last year I discovered that an overnight nurse/crisis member used to exist at the university but was cut due to the budget. When you are in crisis, but have no reason or desire to go to hospitals, we need a team that can offer support and liaise with the support networks on campus in those hours after the incident. Take intense pressure off of RSA's, security and the flatmates of those in crisis and get a properly trained individual in overnight.
