October 2024
This year, we’re celebrating the national theme – Reclaiming Narratives to recognise the work and life of Black Students and Academic who have made significant contributions and impacted the field. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the discrimination and inequalities that Black people have historically experienced in Academia and Educational settings and still face to this day.
VP Wellbeing & Diversity, Olivia and VP Societies & Sports, Bana have worked with Black & Global Majority Community Officer, Piya to deliver a range of events to celebrate the achievements of Black Students and Academics and to spread awareness about the inequalities the community faces in the past and present to reclaim narratives for the community.
