Black History Month 2026

Campaign Lead:

Yasin Dahir - Black & Global Majority Students Community Officer

October 2026

Responding to the national theme, 'honouring our communities', this year’s Black History Month is a celebration of community by bringing many different communities together to reflect on why we celebrate Black History Month and how the month can shape future leadership, change and representation.

There will be a variety of events throughout the month, led by Yasin, collaborating with the SU to deliver events that explore the theme and provide opportunities to connect.

For more information on Black History Month, check out this campaign page, or to chat about anything related to the Black and Global Majority Community, please feel free to reach out to Yasin via Instagram or email. You can also join the Black & Global Majority community to receive the latest information, meet community members and find out about events!
