About us

The Bulgarian Society of Royal Holloway, University of London established in 2012 aims to embrace/sustain the Bulgarian culture and tradition in the university, and to help Bulgarian students adapt easily to student life in the UK.

The Society hopes to bring together all Bulgarians within the university so that they can meet regularly, exchange and realize ideas and also to introduce non-Bulgarian students to our culture.

Membership

Purchasing a membership to our society will give you access to all of our events, both virtual and face-to-face. Purchasing a membership is the ultimate way to experience the Bulgarian Society and everything that it has to offer. Membership in the society is 4 pounds for the academic year.

Events and Activities

The Bulgarian Society provides a large number of events and activities for its members, both virtual and face-to-face. In terms of virtual events, we plan to host different quizzes every other week, which will be both intellectually stimulating and fun.

What is more, the Bulgarian Society will once again focus on some charitable work and will try to help others in need. In terms of our face-to-face activities, you can expect our traditional film nights, socials, board game nights, and of course parties just like the ones we are used to having at home!

In addition, we will be hosting events celebrating some traditional Bulgarian holidays, and we will try our best to manage and organize an event with members of other Bulgarian societies from other universities across the country.
