On Wednesday 29 January we’re shining the spotlight on Inclusive Education, by giving you the opportunity to share your experiences and generate ideas on how we can make education equal for all.
We’ve now got over 300 reps who work hard to find out about the changes you want to see and ensure they’re put in place. Reps have hit the ground running this year, as highlighted in our Rep Impact article – they’ve been doing everything from enhancing timetabling to improving the quality of online resources.
Each year we run Academic Rep Conference to provide you with the space to generate ideas to help improve your education. This year's Conference (open to everyone, not just reps) is an opportunity to network with other students and staff from across the University, learn how to effectively lead and represent others, and understand the big issues at Royal Holloway and in higher education.
This years’ Conference theme is Inclusive Education. University is a place for all students no matter their background, however there are improvements that need to be made to ensure this education is inclusive and accessible for everyone. We want to open up discussion about the inequalities in higher education that negatively impact students’ wellbeing and attainment, and give you the opportunity to make your voice heard. We want to leave you feeling empowered to make the changes you would like to see on campus.
We’ll be running a range of workshops throughout the afternoon of Wednesday 29 January which you can find here, as well as hosting guest speakers and providing a variety of fun and thought-provoking activities. For more information and to see the agenda, head to the Academic Rep Conference Hub.
Registration is open now – see you there!
