After a week of no BUCS round-up, we are back with this Wednesday’s collection of BUCS scores and updates for you.

We start with Hockey, where the women’s 1’s demolished Sussex University 13-0. This was a massive result, with Kiara Munn scoring 5 goals, so massive congratulations to her! The men’s 1’s had a far tighter game, but they still brought home the win over UCL 3’s, the score there was 2-1 to the Bears. In Footballing news, the men’s 2’s smashed a Roehampton side 8-1 away from home.

Men’s Tennis 1’s had a comfortable victory over their equivalents at Essex by defeating them 10-2, while the Netball 2’s brought home a 62-30 win against Buckingham New. In the cup, the men’s Table Tennis team progressed to the next round by beating Middlesex 12-5. Badminton also secured a comfortable win against Portsmouth 7-1 in a late 7pm start in the Sports Hall.

The highlight of the week comes from the men’s Rugby 1’s, who have progressed to the final of the BUCS cup in emphatic style by Beating a Brunel team by 85 points to 10. A fantastic supportive crowd and a number of line-breaking runs from the Holloway players made for a very entertaining watch, and it was a pleasure to be down at the 3G watching. Some great breakaway tries from winger, Joe Triegaardt, and a fantastic solo try from kick-off by Nick Cannon added to a fantastic performance from the Bears. An amazing achievement so far and good luck to them in the final!

American Football have their final league game of the season this Sunday on Eastfields as they look to cement their place in the play-offs. Good luck to them and hope they get the win over Greenwich!
