BUCS Round-Up 20/11/19

Although it's been a quieter week for the Bears after the rush of Big Bears Wednesday, VP Sport Dom Brown tells us all about this Wednesday's fixtures.

A slightly quieter day of sport this week following Big Bears Wednesday, but still plenty of great action and results to get stuck into. As we approach the end of Term One, it’s worth noting how great all our captains have been when communicating with Sports Clubs Coordinator Megan Beddoe and myself.

Right, let’s get into the results!

Badminton Men’s 1sts progressed to the next round of the cup after beating Imperial Medics 7-1 at home, whilst Women’s Basketball continue their fine form by returning from Regents Uni with a well-earned victory. Congrats girls, let’s keep the run going!

Riding C placed 3rd in their first away competition of the season, so a massive congratulations to everyone in the team, especially to Katie and Rebecca who placed 2nd and 6th respectively.

A special shout out to Rounders as they recorded their first ever victory! They travelled to Reading University and they managed to secure a 21-14½ win in a very competitive matchup. It’s great to see one of our newest clubs developing so quickly – long may it continue! Well done Bears.

Hopefully next week we can bring you more sporting success when the league fixtures return.
