Your VP Education, Maia Jarvis, has pioneered a new, exciting paid student placement that gives you the opportunity to be a driving force in helping the Union be more sustainable. This is your opportunity to create long-lasting change so apply now!
I am here to let you know about an exciting paid student placement that will make you a driving force in helping the Union be more sustainable!
This summer, I will be co-supervising the ‘Student Environmental Sustainability Guides’ placement project alongside Professor Liz Schafer.
You will be tasked with creating two guides to help students reduce their carbon footprint: one for SU student groups and another for students living locally in Egham and Englefield Green. The student group guide will help societies organise events in a way that reduces greenhouse gas production.
Creating a student sustainability handbook was my group pledge when I completed carbon literacy training and I am so excited to be able to collaborate with the University and offer this paid opportunity to one of you guys!
This is your chance to make a long-lasting change so apply now! (You’ll need to log in first.) Applications close on Friday 27 May.
