October 2025
This year’s celebration of Black History Month spotlights what standing firm in power and pride means to Black Students and Staff at Royal Holloway. The month explores the theme through a variety of events, asking what standing firm in power and pride mean to me. Each event, post and reflection will provide space for Black Students and Staff to meet, get involved and express themselves both theoretically and creatively.
There will be a variety of events throughout the month, led by Clara alongside the African-Caribbean Society (ACS), who are collaborating with the SU to deliver events that explore the theme and provide opportunities to connect. Following last year's success, we’re excited to announce the return of the Black Creativity Showcase, taking place on Monday, 20 October in our SU main hall.
You can sign up now to perform in the showcase by completing this form: https://forms.office.com/e/QPWtbMtTMU, and to find out more information, check out the event page.
