Tuesday 1 February marks the start of LGBT+ History Month in the UK, which aims to increase the visibility of LGBT+ people, our history and the issues we face. The month’s tagline is ‘Claiming our past. Celebrating our present. Creating our future.', which perfectly encapsulates the purpose of the campaign: it is a chance to educate ourselves and others about the rich history of our community, celebrate current successes and fight for a more just future.
I've got loads planned over the next month so please do check out the events and blogs below to find out how you can get involved. Also, keep an eye on my social media @rhsueducation as I'll be sharing loads of great resources, celebrating our queer community, and encouraging you to think about how you can contribute to the LGBT+ rights movement and the ongoing fight for justice.
