If you’re looking to develop a new skill, flex your creative muscles, or simply unwind after a day of lectures, you’ll find something in our calendar of Give It A Go events.

These are smaller-scale events that are predominantly alcohol-free and focused on you meeting new people in a fun, relaxed and welcoming environment. Some highlights from Freshers' Festival include our Board Games Night, Laser Quest, a Trip to the Theatre and loads more!

So whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, culture vulture or just love a bit of art and craft, we'll have something for you.

Give Rounders A Go: 13th March; Astro Turf; Relive the fun of school days! A social, team game where everyone gets a turn to bat. It’s easy to pick up, great fun, and a fantastic way to meet new people.

Give Futsal a Go: 16th March; Sports Hall; Fast paced and fun! Try this indoor 5-a-side football option. It’s beginner-friendly and focused on skill and speed. Come get active and meet new teammates.

Make a Room Spray: 17th March; Tommy's Lounge; Freshen things up between classes by making your own custom room spray or perfume!

Make a Mug Cake: 19th March; Tommy's Lounge; Make a quick and tasty mug cake between classes for a sweet treat in the middle of your day!

Give Tag Rugby a Go: 20th March; Astro Turf; All the action of rugby with none of the contacts! A fast, inclusive game perfect for beginners. Run, pass, and dodge your way to fitness while making friends.

Decorate a Plant Pot: 26th March; Tommy's Lounge; Welcome in a bit of springtime energy with a personalised plant pot plus some soil and seeds if you want to start growing your own mini garden!
