The skies are clear, the birds are singing, and every student within a five mile radius is huddled indoors over a textbook. Yes, it’s exam season, but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean that the next few weeks will be without joy, for Stressbusters is here to save you!

We want to make sure you’re looking after your wellbeing, and that this exam period goes as smoothly as possible for you and your friends. Now we know it’s still going to be stressful, it is exam season after all, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a living hell.

It’s important to take breaks, relax, drink plenty of water, and eat healthily, to maximise not only your efficiency, but also your welfare.

What Are We Doing?

With that in mind, we’ve planned a huge variety of events to help you bust some stress over the next few weeks as you revise. We’ll be seeing the return of some old favourites, with Pets as Therapy and Reptile Experience making a comeback, as well as introducing some newer events, like the Wellbeing Walk around Virginia Water Lake, mini massages, and a Disney Movie Night. There really is something for everyone.

We’ll also be running drop in sessions with our academic advisor specifically surrounding extenuating circumstances, so if you have any concerns, make sure to pop by.

You should also make sure to look out for our Stressbusters guides, full of helpful tips and tricks for revision, as well as a list of all our events. We’ll be giving them out in the Davison Building on Tuesday 1 May (also available from the Advice Centre), along with free fruit and water, so make sure you don’t miss that!

Hopefully these next few weeks won’t prove to be as stressful as you might think they’ll be. Remember to keep healthy, work hard, and take time for yourself, and we’re certain you’ll come out the other side just fine.
