    Proper Recycling Facilities in Crossland's

    Expired
    • University Idea
Currently in Crossland's, there are recycle bins, however these bins are misused and are all lined with black bin bags. The recycling bins need to be positioned all together (like at The Hub), so that people are confronted with a choice, and made to think, when throwing their rubbish. Currently, different use bins are tucked round corners, meaning people simply just use the bin closest to them with no thought. The fact that the recycling bins are also lined with black bin bags is wrong. In a recycling plant, black colour is not picked up by the cameras used to sort the recycling, meaning that anything in black bags is not identified as recyclable, and is therefore taken to be placed in landfill. In Crosslands there are also issues of only plastic cutlery being available, and there are no ceramic bowls for people who want to sit and have their soup in the cafe. Crossland's need to tackle these problems regarding single use plastic, but please sort out the recycling facilities first!
