Union Bus

Getting home safely is important. That’s why we run the Union Bus service, taking you from our venues direct to your door.

The service runs during club nights at the Students’ Union and Medicine. Starting at 9pm, it finishes its rounds only when everyone has been taken home from the latest closing venue, including our student staff.

You can get an annual pass from the Union Helpdesk between 9am and 5pm (Mon-Fri) or individual tickets on the night from Medicine or Tommy’s Kitchen. If you’re a stickler for organisation, you can also buy annual passes below and collect them from the Helpdesk.

As with all of our services, the Union Bus is not-for-profit. Any surplus made goes back into improving the quality of student life at Royal Holloway - from bigger and better campaigns to massive headline acts throughout the year.

Getting you from A to B

The Union Bus operates within a 3 mile radius of campus including: Kingswood Halls, George Eliot Halls, Egham, Englefield Green and surrounding areas.

An annual Union Bus pass costs just £20 while single tickets cost £1 (£2 for guests).

*During Freshers' Festival you can save £5 on your annual pass. This special offer of £15 will end on Sunday 24 September at midnight.

Getting home another way

If you want an alternative way of getting home after a night at the Students' Union we recommend local taxi company Gemini Cars. As a Runnymede Borough Council accredited private hire company they have a long history of working closely with the Union to deliver a safe taxi scheme.
