Announcing #PlayForUsPaul

Join our campaign to ask the College Principal to DJ at this year's Summer Ball!

Back in March we launched this year’s Summer Ball line-up with Example, Becky Hill, Jaguar Skillz, Jamie McColl (Bombay Bicycle Club) and more to an amazing reception. You responded by snapping up tickets and with over 75% of tickets now sold we’re responding to a glaring omission from the line-up which you pointed out time and again on Yik Yak.

Where’s College Principal Paul Layzell’s slot?

And it’s a very valid question. That’s why we’re officially launching our latest campaign, #PlayForUsPaul, with the aim of asking the College Principal to agree to DJing a slot in the Silent Disco Big Top during the Summer Ball.

The campaign is pretty simple. Head over to the Union’s brand new Bright Ideas platform and vote on the #PlayForUsPaul idea then Tweet about it using the hashtag. The more people that get involved the greater the groundswell and the more likely the Principal is to agree to play a set!

We’ve seen the Royal Holloway Twitter army rise up for #PimpMySummerBall, let’s make it happen again.

So head on over to the Bright Ideas platform now and have your say. While there why not add your own idea, with enough votes we’ll take action to make it happen.

Remember, if you’ve yet to buy your ticket for Summer Ball it’s time to act as they’re selling fast. Last week we announced the addition of Scottish singer-songwriter, Nina Nesbitt, to the line-up along with a whole host of up-and-coming artists as part of the Bierkeller Stage and we’ve still got a ton of announcements to come. This is going to be the biggest Summer Ball ever, don’t miss out. See you in the Quads.
