Butterflies & Hearts

Spring is the season that brings the hope and the butterflies back in our hearts, it is the beginning of something magical. This is why March is the time to celebrate us, the mothers, wives, daughters, granddaughters and grandmothers.

So, let's talk about us. Who are we? Where are we from?

We are coming from a planet of love. Nothing can beat in this world the love that a mother has for her children.

Everything will pass, everything will be OK because Mum says so. For nine months she carries that precious life in her body without complaining, talking with the little one, singing to him/her, laughing and saying how much excitement the moment she holds her little precious treasure will bring into her life.

I am not a mother, I am not a grandmother, but I am a daughter, a sister, and I am that cool auntie that was brought into this world by a strong woman, my lovely Mum. I am who I am because of my mother. I learned from her that bravery does not exist without vulnerability.

You learn, you fail, you love, you get hurt, you heal, and you start over again. Vulnerability is the best measurement of courage. Life is full of experiences, they are not bad or good experiences, they are just experiences. What we must do is remember that we can negotiate a contract, we can negotiate anything that has a material value, but we cannot negotiate who we are. We cannot lose ourselves just for the sake of pleasing someone, we cannot betray ourselves. The cost might be high, but the reward is great. This is the way to create ourselves; strong, vulnerable and Beautiful Women.

So, I let you carry up on your hearts the wonderful love that you give, surrounded by butterflies and sunshine.

Love you, mummy x.
