Refreshers Round-Up 2020

It’s safe to say that we started Spring Term and 2020 in style during Refreshers! A week full of great events, music and some very dodgy dance moves, so let's have a look back at the highlights from last week.

We know how difficult it can be to return to uni after a long winter break, for many of you leaving the comforts of home isn’t easy. So that’s why we throw a massive week long party to help you shake off the holiday blues and get back into the groove of things.

Refreshers is a great chance to have a blast with your friends before Spring Term's assignments start to kick in, so we can't wait to look back at some of the amazing memories that went down during the week!

What went down?

It was a week jam packed with events during the day and night, the SU witnessed a night with Tommy Toast, a Brummie takeover by Jaykae, and Becky Hill, who wished us well as she made us all lose control!

Last week wasn't only about partying, we also held our Refreshers Fair, where lots of clubs and societies got together and looked for new people to join their groups. It’s not too late to join one! If there is anything you feel very passionate about, like politics, a sport, writing, acting or so much more, why not see what we have to offer?

What’s next?

It was great to see so many of you letting yourself go, but if you weren’t able to attend, then don’t panic as this is only the beginning! We’ve got a ton of events coming up to help you combat the stresses of Spring Term. Check out some other amazing SU nights coming up as well as a range of cultural themed nights at Medicine, and don’t forget about your weekly dose of Toast!

Not a Night Owl?

If going out isn’t really your thing, then don’t worry because our Give It A Go programme this term is crammed with different events and opportunities. You can get involved by attending our Pets as Therapy session, Crafternoons or by giving Kinball a go, to name a few! Check out the full calendar of events below.
