IFS is the society for any student from any department with any degree that wants to learn more about the Finance industry and possibly pursue a career.

We aim to provide our members with exposure to the Financial industry and broaden their knowledge through our range of activities. We boast some of the most successful alumni form Royal Holloway; our members have seccured spots in a variety of sectors at some of largest Banks and Financial services firms in London.

We will prepare all prospective students that wish to enter these industry thoroughly through our wide range of events that we will offer.

  • Career Events
  • Interview Skills Workshop
  • Skill building workshops that will give you the hard and soft skills required by the industry

We want our members to enjoy themselves more than anything else and therefore, we will make these events as interesting as possible through competitions and exciting speakers. We want our members to be interactive as well so we have some exciting opportunities planned ahead to keep everyone motivated.

Community Elections 2026

This election will elect all student leaders within our student communities. These communities include Societies, Sports Clubs, Media Outlets, Faculty & Department Reps, Postgraduate Communities & Inclusion Communities. For Student Groups, you must be a current Royal Holloway student and a fully paid, standard member of the group to vote. To vote for a Community Officer, students must self-identify with the relevant inclusion community on the RHSU website (in settings). In order to vote for a Rep, you must belong to the relevant Faculty or Department. Please ensure you are logged in to your SU account to cast your votes.
