About us

We are Royal Holloway's Unique Broadcasting And Recording Brand, making great video content by students and for students.

For those interested in working in the media sector, we provide full training on a range of professional equipment and produce content that is uploaded to our YouTube channel. We also aim to run a variety of careers events throughout the year, such as Q&As and talks with industry speakers from companies such as ITV and BBC.

However, rhubarbtv is also perfect for students who enjoy watching and are passionate about television. We plan to put on a wide variety of socials, designed to help you have fun and meet new people.

Membership

Purchasing a rhubarbtv membership will give you access to all of our filming events throughout the year and give you insurance cover to handle and use our equipment. You will also have free access to any careers events and socials that we hold.

Your membership fee will enable us to keep producing content and putting on fantastic events for our members. As a member, you will have a chance to be involved in a wide variety of projects, all whilst gaining skills, having fun and meeting lots of like-minded people.

Events and Activities

Over the course of the year, we expect to hold some of the following events:

• Live filming at the Student's Union
• Camera/Live training workshops
• Regular socials, including quizzes and screenings
• Collabs with other socities, including short form documentaries, gameshows and behind the scenes content
• Online events with external organisations, such as the London Film Festival, Student Television Online Conference and RTS Webinars
• Trips to live television recordings and film studios, including our anual trip to comic con
