About us

Lacrosse welcomes everyone regardless of their ability, with most people starting the sport at university. We are a friendly and sociable club, welcoming members all year round!

The club consists of five teams including a men’s team, two women’s teams and two mixed teams. All teams train once a week, with the men's and women's teams training on Tuesdays and the mixed teams training on Fridays. The men's 1s and women's 1s and 2s all compete in BUCS and have their matches on Wednesdays. Both mixed teams play in LUSL on a Sunday.

We are a very social club with socials on Wednesdays, for a mid-week get together and post-match celebrations. Some of our popular socials include, Dress Your Fresher followed by Dress Your Returner in term 2, Pub Golf and CIYK. In addition to these weekly socials, we have annual events such as Christmas Dinner, Alumni Day, Colours Ball and Summer Tour to look forward to.

Membership

As well as being one of the cheapest sport clubs on campus, this year we aim to be even more accessible by splitting our membership price between Term One and Term Two. By purchasing a membership to our club, you can train 2 times a week and represent the university by playing competitive and friendly fixtures. The membership fee goes towards running the club, including paying for new equipment, coaching, transport to fixtures, umpire fees and the long-term development of the club. In Term 2, you also will have the opportunity to play in Varsity against our Surrey rivals.

Joining Lacrosse is a great way to meet like-minded people and it will shape your university experience into a fun-filled, exciting one, where you have the opportunity to play for the university and make friends for life. The comradery and true sense of sportsmanship will shape your time at Royal Holloway!
