WELCOME TO ROYAL HOLLOWAYS VOLLEYBALL CLUB!
We offer oppurtunites to all levels of competition and experience, with chances to participate in London Tournaments, BUCS, LUSL, Beach and international tours.
With an ever expanding range of players joining us each year, we are looking to grow into one of RHUL's largest indoor sport clubs.
We look forward to the upcoming season and welcoming you into our club!
Events and Activities
Joining us will unlock a myriad of volleyball events and socials throughout the season as well as impromptu meet ups and tournaments.
During the 2021 season our Mens 1 team entered into Whitefield tournament - https://whitefield.cbvc.org.uk/ - an international tournament held in bristol, with our Womens 1 Team entering the BUCS Volleyball Student Cup.
Both our Mens 1 and Womens 1 during the 2021 season also entered the Beach Cup hosted by BUCS and enjoyed 2 days of summer volleyball in Bournemouth.
With many more events planned for the 2022/2023 season including a possible Portugal Beach Volleyball Tour, we hope to keep everyone active and engaged with the club as much as possible - https://www.deepdishbeach.com/university-tour
- BUCS matches on Wednesdays
- Surrey League (Regional League) matches throughout the week
- Coached training at least once a week for BUCS and Surrey League players
- Spontaneous indoor/beach/outdoor tournaments on and off season
- Volunteering / Coaching / Refereeing Opportunities
- Socials with other sports clubs (Skill swap sessions)
- Colors Ball and awards at the end of Spring Term together with all the other clubs
- Seasonal events including a Christmas dinner
- Going to SU events together (for example, come in your kit!)
- Getting post-match drinks at a pub (open to all, including recreational players)

Active sessions
These are sessions hosted by both the Sports Centre and the Volleyball Club aimed at recreational players who wish to have fun, learn and relax playing Volleyball
You do NOT need a Competitive Volleyball Membership to engange with these sessions!
Though we'd encourage you to grab our Free Social Membership!
Active sessions:
- Tuesday 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm
- Thursday 4:00 pm - 5:45pm
These sessions will be in the Sports Hall at RHUL.

Membership
If you are interested in what Volleyball has to offer, want to come to our socials, or just want to part of a nice community, please feel free to get a Free Social membership.
Before you buy a Standard membership however, please get in touch with us.
You must first join us at trials at the beginning of the season and throughout.
This will enable you to purchase the BUCS or Surrey League membership - We will tell you which one to get.
Membership also allows you to compete with us in Varsity against Surrey University.
Our membership fees go towards coaching, entering teams into the leagues, travel costs to away games, standard kits, hall bookings, referrees and general running of the club.
As a member of the Volleyball Club you will not only represent Royal Holloway but you will meet a bunch of other Volleyball fanatics who will very likely become your great friends!
