Candidate for President

I want to run for the position of President because I want to bring back Unity among the students which is lost somewhere because the majority of students are worried about assignment deadlines & exam submission and many students didn’t even try to socialize because of the new place, new people, and new culture issues. I will bring back everyone under one roof. It’s my promise.

The key issues which will be my priority after winning will be: -

  1. To open the sanitary pad/tampons vending machines in each accommodation reception and in the Emily Wilding Davison Building.
  2. I will make sure that there will be an increase in (on-campus) part-time jobs for the students.
  3. I will make sure to organize more sports competitions for the student who cannot pay the amount to play regularly in the sports facilities.

I know we all love to party and if it is theme-based then it will be even better but as a President, I will make sure that some theme for the party will be selected by the students.

When I joined the University, there were many Punjabi students who were keen to celebrate Lohri (13th January) on the campus but there were no notifications from the Indian society’s Instagram handle. So, I will also make sure that students from every community will get to celebrate their marquee festivals.

So, what I want to achieve after winning and serving the University and students for one year are as follows: -

  1. For the period of one year, I will be in touch with all the students which will help me to know their issues better and I will be working with University staff up-close and personally with which I can learn the manners of working in a British manner.
  2. There is no doubt that if I win the elections, it will be helpful for my development as a person and it will pave the way for new opportunities for me.

At last, I want to say one thing which is,

HARD WORK will be mine,

SUPPORT will be yours,

SUCCESS will be ours
