Volunteering with the Students' Union takes many forms. From sitting on student group committees as a treasurer or helping to shape the way we communicate on one of our service development groups there are tons of opportunities to develop your skills and give back to the campus community.
As part of our Democracy Review, we’ve been looking at areas of the Students’ Union where we currently lack as much student input as we need. As well as leading our campaigning and representation work, we also think it’s important that students have a say on the services we provide – shaping what we do and how we do it. We’ve identified four key areas where having more of a student voice can significantly improve what we do:
For each group, we’re looking for six student members, so there's a total of 24 positions available. Whilst some knowledge of the subject area would be useful, we’re also keen to hear from those of you who just want to make sure that students have a voice.
