Insanity Radio continue to inspire the next generation of media creatives from Logic Studio School.

Logic Studio School and Insanity Radio met again on Wednesday 23 January as a follow-up to last year’s successful visit. Members of the station eagerly awaited their arrival on campus, and it was great to see that the students were equally as excited as the station was.

Furthermore, this visit provided students an added opportunity to experiment with other media outlets, as the station worked together with Orbital Magazine and RhubarbTV. This allowed students to explore their creative interests while also providing a great opportunity for the media outlets to work together.

Students embarked on a campus tour before taking turns to plan their hour-long shows, totalling three hours of original content for the local community. Memorable songs, stories, and experiences were shared both on-air and off-air. A student shared how he was striving to be the first person in his family to go to university, and that the collaboration between Insanity and Logic Studio School really motivated him further.

As Mannie Sapra, our Head of Events stated: “Our previous collaboration, which let student groups go on-air for 30 minutes, felt really short, and that letting them experience a full show was ultimately rewarding for everyone involved.”

VP Societies & Media Holly Hughes was also keen to express her thoughts on the collaboration:

"I have been so impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the Insanity team who organised and led on this trip. The school gave nothing but positive feedback, and it’s so fantastic to see Insanity coming up with new ways to work with the local community.

"All the students from Logic engaged favourably with everything the team had put together and everyone left saying how great a time they had had. Massive congratulations to all those involved."

Insanity Radio is grateful for everyone who took part on the day, and the station looks forward to maintaining this fruitful relationship with Logic Studio School going forward.

Logic have also written up an article to express their thoughts about the "fantastic opportunity", which you can check out here.
