Following the update from the Government on Monday 16 March that additional social distancing measures are to be introduced to tackle the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the Students’ Union is cancelling our remaining events programme.
If you have purchased a ticket to an event, a refund will be processed over the next week and you will be notified that this has taken place.
With regards to our food-based venues which form an essential part of the catering offer on campus, these will be open tonight and tomorrow morning with stricter rules in place regarding seating and capacities. Tomorrow we will provide a more detailed update on our venues following discussions with the University.
Within that update, we will also set out a number of changes across our entire range of services. We are committed to continuing to offer as many services as practically possible and are exploring where they can be delivered digitally or through alternative means.
This may mean a period of transition and we ask for your patience and understanding during this period of disruption.
We are continuing to work closely with the University regarding our response to Covid-19 and will publish all of our guidance on our social media channels and via our website.
It is also important that you continue to follow the Government’s advice with regard to handwashing, travel and the symptoms and continue to monitor the student intranet and University social media for updates from the College.
