University is a great place to realise your potential. Ever sat there and listened to Insanity and thought I could run a radio station? Ever watched a streamer playing Fortnite and thought I could create great online content for rhubarbTV? Or maybe you've sat in Tommy's looking at an edition of Orbital and thought I would love to publish a magazine?

Whatever your story, there's an abundance of opportunities to be explored by running for a position in our media elections, and nominations are now open!

Our student media outlets are a fantastic way for students to get involved in something different. These outlets are run by students for students, bringing them up to date news, discussions and music for a range of interests. The roles also provide a great opportunity for students to get experience in what it takes to run, produce and plan media content across a range of mediums.

With three outlets and six positions in total on offer, we've got plenty of options for you to consider. Here's a brief overview of each outlet:

Insanity

Insanity Radio 103.2 FM is north Surrey's local radio station. They exist to curate great local content like entertainment and news, and to do good in the local community. They're open to anyone, regardless of their background or experience.

Orbital

Producing a termly magazine that is distributed across campus and the local area, Orbital aim to give all student journalists the opportunity to be published in print. They offer support and guidance on how to write in a creative and engaging way on topics that are relevant to a student audience. Student journalism provides a great opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a long-term career in the media.

rhubarbTV

Standing for Royal Holloway’s Unique Broadcasting and Recording Brand, rhubarbTV are Royal Holloway’s newest media outlet. They produce and broadcast a diverse array of content that any member of rhubarbTV can get involved with, collaborating with other Royal Holloway societies, the Students’ Union and the local community to bring you live streams, news, drama and much more.
