Working 9-5 With a Dream

Juggling a 9-5 with a passion project isn’t easy!

Business-related work in your downtime, getting chased by your manager for updates, emails, imposter syndrome, not feeling you’re as far along as you should be - we get it, we’ve been there too.

Join What Matters CIC for a workshop and Q&A that will share the realities of what it’s like juggling work and a dream. We’ll be sharing strategies on how to not compromise your time in the workplace and give you helpful tips on growing your business - working smarter not harder.

It’s no secret that having a side hustle is the new standard, but whilst you journey towards full-time entrepreneurship; this session will help you thrive and focus on what really matters.

Black History Month

With side hustles such a hot topic among students right now, this careers-focused event was specifically requested by your African-Caribbean Society. The workshop is run by What Matters CIC, a black and woman-owned organisation.

''Bridging the gap between access and opportunity''

“I don’t want young adults – particularly from disadvantaged groups – to feel deflated when they face setbacks because they weren’t prepared for what the working world and adult life encompasses. Not everyone has had the same provision I had so What Matters CIC has been created to be the provision for you.” – Joanna Briggs | Founder, What Matters CIC
