March 2022

Happy Women’s History Month! Throughout March, we have a bunch of different events and campaigns organised to celebrate, empower, and uphold women throughout history and women today.

Fascinated by iconic historical figures? We'll be putting the spotlight on inspiring women including Dr. Flossie Wong-Staal, Alice Walker, Constance Markiewicz, and Sojourner Truth in a blog post series. From past to present, female members of the Students' Union team will be motivating you by sharing their experiences of the workplace.

There'll be plenty of chances to come together to celebrate WHM. Join us on 8 March for International Women's Day where we'll be chatting to a panel featuring the Womens Collective and academics from Royal Holloway to #BreakTheBias. We're bringing the Vintage Thrift Sale back to you for an eco-friendly fix followed by a screening and discussion about the human cost of fast fashion.

Check out the events and blogs below to find out how you can get involved and keep an eye on my social media @rhsuwellbeing where I will be sharing various resources and celebrating women on campus and around the world.

If you'd like to chat about anything related to my campaign week, please feel free to send me an email at VPWellbeingDiversity@su.rhul.ac.uk.
